As suburbs here in Melbourne have taken it a pawn themselves to make changes to have a better effect on the environment, change towards a sustainable and renewable output within their businesses. Utilizing waste coffee grounds and plastics to have an inhouse sustainable farming practice, committing to a carbon neutral atmosphere, dedicating ourselves to resource efficiency and environmental responsibility.
With all of the waste plastics the community and other cafes give us we will be making self-sustaining garden boxes to grow our garden and use the excess coffee grounds as fertilizer. As we further grow our company, we would dabble in making our own fertilizer which we would put up for sale at our restaurant.
The steps taken to make these changes and to be a part of something that is very important has been quite exciting and so very full filling for our team as this has been quite the journey for all of us. To be able to make a dream a reality and see how far our team has come along is a dream come true.
